Stephen is deeply passionate about building and supporting Australia’s tech talent community. With over 20 years of experience working with businesses across Australia, he has successfully developed tech recruitment strategies and campaigns tailored to their needs.
As the founder and sole director of Resource Solutions Group (RSG) for 15 years, following his early work with Seek.com.au, Stephen established RSG as a market leader in tech recruitment, specializing in hard-to-fill roles. RSG catered predominantly to tech clients and corporates, offering premium tech recruitment services with fees at the higher end of the market.
Stephen’s latest venture, Expand Tech, is designed to provide businesses with a consistent pipeline of tech talent. This turnkey solution revolutionizes the approach to tech recruitment and onboarding, offering an innovative alternative to traditional recruitment processes.
In addition to his work in tech recruitment, Stephen has founded other start-ups, including Cellar Direct—an online wine business launched while working at Seek—and Surf X, an adventure-focused surf and snow company. Most recently, he has worked on a startup consultancy in innovation and strategy as well as Cyber Tech Talent, a specialist tech agency focusing on privacy and security.
